Had a moment like this earlier with my Calypso. Except I was going “not on the bed!” I felt awful for picking her up and placing her on the floor while she was gagging but she didn’t jump down on her own and she was right by my pillow. She forgave me thank goodness.

Shorty is soooo patient with her dad... She pretended to lose some and win some to make him believe that she, being a cat, is not as smart as a human. She played her part to perfection: the bent head to make it look like she's trying real hard and focusing, the controlled pawing, the oh OK... I'll gobble the treat in a way that suggests I feel very smart and deserving, etc.
